Constellate

We open with a study, not a pitch deck.

Constellate is a research-first firm. Every study below began with a real question we encountered while building law firm websites, then answered with primary data: live-site crawls, search APIs, and real legal queries put to large language models. These are measurements, not surveys or opinion pieces.

We publish the sample sizes, the methods, and the limitations alongside every finding, and the analysis scripts where we can, so other practitioners can verify the work. This is the same evidentiary standard our clients receive before any site is designed. The research is open. Read it, and check it.

No spin, no sales pitch. Just the data.
§ About this research

How the work is conducted.

Every study collects primary data and analyzes it with reproducible scripts. We measure; we do not poll opinion.

Method

Each study starts from a question that surfaced in client work. We crawl live sites, query search APIs, and put real legal queries to LLMs, then analyze the results with scripts we publish where possible. The sample typically covers 303 law firm homepages across 25 high-growth, mid-size U.S. markets and multiple practice areas. We state every sample size and limitation in the open.

The same discipline runs in our client engagements. NitroCMS unifies five data sources, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, independent SEO and competitor intelligence, and the Constellate Analytics Engine, our first-party analytics, and hands them weekly to Claude Opus, which returns a ranked list of recommendations before any work begins. The public studies and the private engagement share one evidentiary standard.
